LASAGNE 
1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes
2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. onion salt
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. salad oil
1 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 minced garlic clove (optional)
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles (about 9 noodles)
3/4 lb. cottage cheese
1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese

In a large saucepan, put together tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, oregano and pepper. Saute in oil, the meat onion and garlic. Add meat mixture to sauce and cook uncovered for 2 1/2 hours. Cook noodles according to package directions. In the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan spoon some of the sauce and top with a layer of noodles, putting them lengthwise in pan. Sprinkle with a third of cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese. Add more sauce, repeating layers two more times and end with sauce. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 325 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes and cut.
