DATE DELIGHT 
1 can (8 1/2 oz.) crushed pineapple
1/4 c. pineapple juice
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 pkg. (8 oz.) diced dates
1 env. Dream Whip, prepared as directed

Drain pineapple well, reserving 1/4 cup. Gradually add pineapple liquid and sugar to softened cream cheese and beat until fluffy. Add pineapple, pecans and dates. Add whip topping. Fold together.

Spoon into an 8x8 pan or oiled individual molds. Freeze. Remove from freezer so that it softens a bit before serving. May be served on lettuce as salad garnished with maraschino cherries.
