PRUNE WHIP 
1 dozen prunes
4 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Cook prunes, pit and cut into quarters, unsweetened. Beat egg whites until stiff; add sugar, vanilla and salt. Fold into prunes. Pour in buttered double boiler and steam for 1 hour. Butter cover also. Do not raise cover until ready to serve as it will fall.
