CINNAMON NUT STICKS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
2 tbsp. cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts, finely chopped

Cream butter with sugars. Add egg, cream and vanilla, and beat well. Sift flour with baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add to batter gradually, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pinch off pieces the size of a small walnut and roll in the palms of the hands until as big around as a pencil. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
