ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Heat 2 cups of milk and 1/2 cup of water to 120-130 degrees. Add to 3 cups flour and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Add in salt and baking soda; beat well. Stir in rest of flour to make stiff batter. Spoon into 2 loaf pans that have been greased and sprinkled with corn meal. Cover and rise 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.
