1 c. light brown sugar 1 c. white sugar 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 c. pecans, broken into pieces 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. vanilla Candy thermometer Mix sugars and milk in heavy saucepan and cook to thread stage over medium heat, 25 minutes. Add pecans, butter and vanilla and cook to soft ball stage. Remove and beat with spoon until creamy. Drop by spoonfuls on foil. Test first praline, if it hasn't set, beat a little longer. |
