LEMON SQUARES 
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
4 eggs, unbeaten
2 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Sift flour and powdered sugar together. Cut in butter as in pie crust, press into 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Beat eggs, granulated sugar and lemon juice together with mixer. Sift together flour and baking powder. Stir into egg mixture by hand. Pour over baked crust and bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Sift powdered sugar on top while hot. Trim outside crust and cut into squares. Can be frozen.
