COCONUT POUND CAKE | |
1 c. sweet milk 1 c. Crisco shortening 1 stick butter 2 1/2 c. sugar 3 c. plain flour 5 eggs Dash of salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 bottle coconut flavoring 1/2 bottle almond flavoring 1 can Angel Flake coconut (opt.) Cream butter, Crisco and sugar; add eggs; beat well. Add milk and dry ingredients. Then fold in coconut if you choose to use it. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Then bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour longer. Bake in a large tube pan. |
