CHOCOLATE PIES 
2 pie shells
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour (level off)
4 tbsp. cocoa
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

MERINGUE:

4 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake 2 pie shells, set aside. Mix together 1 1/2 cup sugar, 4 tablespoons flour and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Add 4 beaten egg, 2 1/2 cups milk, 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cook in double boiler until thick. Makes 2 pies.

MERINGUE: Beat egg whites until they stand in a peak. Add sugar, a little at a time. Put over pies and bake until brown.
