1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. lard or Spry (or Crisco)
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour milk
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. flour

Cream sugars and lard. Add eggs and peanut butter and stir well. Add the sour milk. Mix baking soda, salt and flour together, and then add to the sugar-eggs mixture, and stir well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen. As kids we thought these were the very best cookies ever, and the dough was so good, too!
