GERMAN FRUITCAKE 
4 eggs
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Fruit of your choice

Blend all ingredients in a mixing bowl until well mixed. Use a German cake pan 11 inches round by 1 1/2 inches deep. Grease pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool cake.

Drain fruit such as strawberries, peaches, or pineapple; arrange on top of cake. Bring juice to a boil and thicken with 1/4 cup water and 2 to 3 tablespoons cornstarch. Pour over fruit. Cool and serve.
