PUMPKIN COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. pumpkin (sm. can)
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour (more or less, prefer 1 c. more for home canned)
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

ICING:

1 lg. block cream cheese
Few tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
Enough shortening to make creamy

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs together. Add pumpkin and vanilla. Then mix together all dry ingredients and add to pumpkin mixture. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

ICING: Blend all icing ingredients together and spread on cooled cookies.
