BUTTER PECAN SQUARES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
2 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9"x9"x2" pan. Cream together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Blend in flour. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Spread into pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven, sprinkle top with remaining chips. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes or until chips soften. Spread evenly; immediately sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup pecans, press gently into chocolate. Cut into bars.
