BROILED CHICKEN DELUXE 
2 (3 lb. each) fryers, cut up
Lemon juice
4 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
4 tbsp. butter, cut into sm. pieces

Preheat broiler. Place chicken skin side up on large cookie sheet or broiler pan without rack. Squeeze lemon juice over chicken, sprinkle with mixture of the sugar and the spices and salts. Turn chicken skin side down and dot with butter. Place pan 7 to 9 inches from source of heat (or with oven control set at 450 degrees) and broil chicken for 25 minutes basting chicken with butter as it melts. Turn chicken skin side up, brush with pan drippings. Broil 15 to 20 minutes until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork, brushing often with pan drippings. Put chicken on platter and pour pan drippings over it. Serve.
