RICH CHERRY LOAF 
8 oz. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
3 oz. glazed cherries
6 oz. butter
6 oz. sugar
2 eggs
Vanilla extract
Milk to mix

Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut cherries into quarters and add to flour. Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add a few drops of vanilla. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and mix lightly with a little milk. Put into a prepared tin and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Before baking, garnish top of loaf with sliced cherries.
