1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
48 miniature peanut butter candies (Reese's cup or similar)

Cream butter, peanut butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients until blended. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Press into 1 3/4 inch muffin tins. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and immediately press one miniature peanut butter cup candy into each hot cookie. Allow to cool before removing from pan. Yields 4 dozen cookies.
