OKRA GUMBO 
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
2 tbsp. vegetable oil or bacon drippings
4 c. sliced fresh okra
3 ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 c. corn, cut from cob (about 2 ears)
1 tbsp. white vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. red pepper

Saute onion and green pepper in oil in a large skillet until tender. Add okra and remaining ingredients, and cook over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve immediately.
