BEEF BARLEY STEW 
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 lg. chopped onion
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 med. can whole tomatoes, undrained
2 1/2 c. water
1 c. uncooked barley
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cook ground beef, onion, celery. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Break up tomatoes with fork. Heat to boiling. Reduce and simmer until barley is done, about 1 hour.
