FLORENCE NANCE'S SWEET PICKLED
BEETS
 
Cook beets until tender.

Make a syrup of: 3 pts. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt, optional

Stick cinnamon for each jar.

Put beets in boiling syrup, boil 5 minutes or long enough to heat through. Pack in jars. Cover with syrup and seal. Beets can be diced, sliced or chunks. Small beets can be left whole.
