SWEDISH KRINGLE 
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. butter

Mix as for pie crust. Pat on cookie sheet in ovals 3 inches wide (2 strips). Put 1 cup water in saucepan. With 1/2 cup butter, heat to boiling point. As mixture is removed from heat, add 1 cup flour, stir until smooth. Stir in 3 eggs one at a time; beat well after each addition. Add 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Spread on first mixture. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cool and frost with powdered sugar, butter, almond extract, and enough cream to make a spreading consistency. Sprinkle with slivered almonds.
