PEAR CAKE 
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten well
1 1/2 c. salad oil
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. thinly diced pears

Combine sugar, eggs and oil. Beat well. Combine flour, salt and soda; add to sugar mixture 1 cup at a time mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon and pears. Spoon batter into well greased 10" bundt pan or tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from pan and allow to cool; top with Powdered Sugar Glaze.

POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE:

1 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
2-4 tbsp. milk

Combine ingredients, blending until smooth. Yield: about 1/2 cup.
