PECAN PIE 
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. Golden Eagle syrup, do not substitute
4 eggs
1 c. pecans, broken

Brown butter lightly in iron skillet. Remove from heat, stir in sugar as mixture cools slightly. Beat eggs in large bowl. Add cooled mixture, mixing well. Add syrup and pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
