SYRUP:

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. vanilla

CAKE MIXTURE:

1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream together sugar, egg and oil. Add milk and vanilla. Sift together and add flour, salt and baking powder. Pour mixture into 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust. Pour syrup on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
