STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS | |
4 lg. green peppers 1 c. boiling water, salted 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 c. coarse dry bread or cracker crumbs 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. chopped onion Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut a thin slice from stem end of pepper and remove seeds. Wash and cook in salted water for 5 minutes; drain. Mix balance of ingredients, stuff lightly. Stank upright in small baking dish, bake in covered dish for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes. |
