CORN PONE PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. cooking oil
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. canned tomatoes with juice
1 c. kidney or pinto beans (canned or cooked)
Corn bread batter

Brown meat and onion in shortening. Add seasonings and tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. Add beans and pour into casserole (9x9x2). Top with corn bread batter and bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 20 minutes. Good as a one-dish dinner with green salad. No additional bread is necessary.
