CREAM WAFERS 
Wafers:

1 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1/3 c. whipping cream
2 c. all-purpose flour

Mix all ingredients together. Cover and chill 2 hours. Roll out 1/3 of dough at a time until 1/8-inch thick on floured board. Cut into 1 1/2-inch circles. Coat with granulated sugar on both sides. Prick with fork.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets 7-9 minutes until golden brown.

Filling:

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix until smooth and fluffy and fill cookies. Tint filling to make pastel colors.
