SEVEN LAYER SALAD 
1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 chopped Bermuda onion
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
2 c. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. sugar
1 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled

In a large clear glass bowl, assemble the salad in layers. Start with lettuce, then pepper, then onion, then peas. Combine mayonnaise and sugar, and spread over peas. Top with cheese. Cover and chill overnight. Just before serving, top with bacon. This always disappears at potluck suppers.
