DEEP DISH GEORGIA PEACH PIE 
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
6 c. thickly sliced, peeled, pitted peaches
1/4 c. grenadine syrup
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter
Pastry for 1 crust 9 inch pie

In bowl, combine sugar, flour, and nutmeg; toss with peaches until well coated. Let stand 5 minutes. Carefully stir in grenadine syrup and lemon juice. Turn mixture into 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish or a deep 9 inch round baking dish. Roll pastry to fit over top, trim and crimp to edges of the dish. Cut slits for steam. Place dish on baking sheet in oven. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until crust is golden.
