GREAT GRANDMOTHER SALINDA'S PUMPKIN PIE | |
1 c. canned pumpkin 3/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. allspice 1 egg 1/8 tsp. baking soda 1 c. milk 1/8 c. cream Pinch of salt 1 tbsp. dark molasses (the stronger the better) Mix all ingredients. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-8 minutes. Turn heat down to 350 degrees and bake for about an hour. If it starts to bubble turn heat down lower to 325 degrees. It is done when knife comes out clean. |
