1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts

Bake on greased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Yield: 5 dozen cookies.
