SWEET POTATO BISCUITS 
2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. Crisco
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cooked mashed sweet potatoes

Stir together flour and nutmeg. Cut in Crisco until mixture is crumbly. Mix sweet potatoes, sugar and milk to dry ingredients, stirring until flour is moistened. This will make a sticky dough. Turn out on floured surface and knead about 30 seconds. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut with cutter. Bake ungreased sheet at 450 degrees for 13 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.
