BETTE BRYER'S SAVORY BEEF

16 oz. tenderloin
1 tsp. lemon pepper
1 tsp. cardamom
2 tbsp. green onions
4 thinly sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp. wine
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. Dijon mustard

Fry first 3 ingredients in hot butter, remove. Stir fry the onions and mushrooms; remove and add wine, soy sauce, and mustard; bring to boil and scrape pan. Toss with all ingredients.

OPTIONAL: Stir fry 1 pound hamburger, drain well, add lemon pepper, cardamom, wine, soy sauce, and mustard and shake over heat until dry. Serve in whole wheat pita. Also good as hors d'oeuvres filling.
