MINT JULEP 
4 sprigs fresh mint
1 tsp. sugar
Finely crushed ice
1 1/2 oz. bourbon

In a 12 ounce glass or tankard, place 3 sprigs of mint and sugar. Crush mint with muddler or handle of a wooden spoon until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Fill glass to the brim with ice; pour in bourbon; do not stir. Add more ice to fill glass. Place in freezer. Just before serving, garnish with a mint sprig. Serve with a long straw.
