STEAK SMOTHERED IN ONIONS 
1 lg. sweet onion, halved & sliced
1 clove garlic, minced (opt.)
2 tbsp. water
4 tenderloin steaks, 4 oz. each
4 tbsp. steak sauce
Salt & pepper to taste

Line a large roasting pan with 1 sheet of foil; spray with cooking spray. Arrange onion and garlic in a shallow layer. Put pan on bottom rack of oven and turn oven on to 400 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, season steaks to taste with steak sauce, salt and pepper. Put steaks on top of foil and place pan under broiler, 3" from heat. Turn on broiler and broil steak to desired doneness. To serve, arrange steaks on plates or platter; carefully remove foil and pour onions over steak slices. Makes 4 servings.
