FOURTH OF JULY CORNISH HENS 
4 cornish hens, giblets removed & cleaned
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. seasoned salt
1/2 c. oil
1 c. fresh lemon juice
1 (12 oz.) bottle Wishbone Italian salad dressing
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. crushed thyme

Night Before: Blend garlic, seasoned salt, oil, lemon juice, dressing, onions, pepper and thyme in large container. Marinate the hens overnight in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place hens skin side up in a shallow pan. Baste with marinade. Cover with foil and cook 30 minutes. Remove foil and brush with marinade again. Cook, uncovered 20 to 30 minutes more, brushing with marinade twice while cooking. Test for doneness: Drumsticks should be soft and juices should run clear when pierced with a fork.
