FIREHOUSE RANCH BURGERS 
2 lbs. hamburger meat
Salt
Pepper
1 onion
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg. shredded cheddar cheese (or other desired cheese)

Cook in an electric skillet or on stove top. Make fairly large patties out of hamburger meat (2 patties per person). On one patty place grated cheese, thin slice of onion, salt and pepper to taste. Place other patty on prepared patty and mash edges of both patties together. Place burgers in skillet, 300 degrees, and cook until brown on both sides. Drain grease and pour 2 cans of mushroom soup over burgers and continue to cook for 10 minutes, covered.
