FIVE HOUR BEEF STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. lean beef stew meat, cubed & braised
4 potatoes, cut in chunks
4 carrots, cut in thick slices
2 onions, cut in pieces
2 stalks celery, cut in pieces
1 c. peas (opt.)

Add to above one of the following.

OPTION #1:
1 can tomato soup
1 can water
1 env. Pillsbury brown gravy mix
Salt & pepper to taste

OPTION #2:
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 can water
1/4 c. Minute Tapioca (important)
Dash thyme & oregano
1 bay leaf
Salt, pepper & garlic powder to taste
