MAPLE SYRUP CHILI SAUCE | |
12-15 ripe tomatoes (lg.), peeled & cut up 2 red or green peppers, cut up 2 c. vinegar 2 c. sugar (scant) 3 onions 3 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. celery salt 1/2 - 1 c. maple syrup Cook until thick, about 3 hours. Keep heat low and stir often the last hour to be sure it does not scorch. Makes about 3 pints. |
