DEBRA'S HOMEMADE CROCKPOT CHILI | |
2 1/2 lb. ground beef chuck 2 env. Chili-O original seasoning mix (French's) 2 (16 oz. ea.) cans chili beans in mild sauce (Bush's - ADD LAST) 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes (Hunts) 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes (Hunts) 1 (28 oz.) can water (use empty tomato can) 1 medium onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. black pepper (Tone's) 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (Tone's) 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (Tone's) 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. garlic salt Brown meat and drain fat off. Put meat in Crock-Pot, add all ingredients except for the 2 cans of chili beans. Cook in Crock-Pot for 4 hours on HIGH, or 8 hours on LOW. The last 15 minutes of cooking time add both cans of chili beans with liquid in the can and cook 15 more minutes. Variation: If you want it hotter add more spice. Submitted by: Debra Carroll |
