FRENCH VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP | |
2 lbs. cubed stew meat 1/4 c. salad oil 1 can condensed onion soup 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. basil 1 (16 oz.) can wax beans, drained 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained 8 carrots, sliced 2 c. sliced celery Brown meat in oil. Reduce heat and stir in soup and 6 cans of water. Add tomato paste, salt, pepper and basil. Simmer covered 1 1/2 hours. Add vegetables. Reheat to boiling; simmer covered 30 minutes or until meat and vegetables are tender. |
