BARBECUED BLACKEYES 
1 c. dried blackeyed peas
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. ground beef
1/2 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. commercial barbecue sauce
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp. brown sugar

Cook peas in boiling water with salt until peas are barely tender; add more water if necessary. Pour off half of liquid. Brown ground beef and onion; add to peas. Stir in barbecue sauce, mustard and sugar. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
