FESTIVE SPOON CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Sun Maid mixed fruit
2 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
Powdered sugar

Cut fruit into small pieces. Combine fruit, water, 3/4 cup sugar, lemon juice and allspice in medium-size skillet. Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium, cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Cover and set aside. Stir together by hand the 1/2 cup sugar and butter. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture alternately with milk to the butter mixture. Spread batter in greased 8 x 8 pan. Spoon hot fruit and liquid over batter. Bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just prior to serving.
