PORCUPINE DATE BALLS | |
1 (1 lb.) pkg. dates 1 c. sugar 1 egg beaten 1/4 lb. butter 2 c. Rice Krispies 1/2 c. nuts 1 tsp. vanilla 1 pkg. coconut Top of stove, cook 1 package dates, 1 cup sugar, egg and 1/4 pound butter for about 8 minutes. Cool slightly and add 2 cups Rice Krispies, 1/2 cup nuts, 1 teaspoon vanilla. With buttered hands, shape into balls (size of a walnut). Roll in coconut, refrigerate in closed container. |
