MOUNT KNOCK'S 
1 stick butter, softened
1 c. minus 2 tsp. packed brown sugar
1 c. minus 2 tsp. sugar
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream butter in large mixing bowl with back of spoon. Add sugar (brown first) and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Sift dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt) in separate bowls. Add dry ingredients to moist ones and mix well. Place in greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Turn heat to 325 degrees and cook 15 minutes more. Cool and cut into bars.
