APPLE FILLING:

2 c. applesauce, sweetened & spiced to suit taste
Cinnamon or nutmeg (opt.)
Half and half or cream (sweetened to taste)

DOUGH:

2 c. self rising flour
1/4 c. Crisco
1 c. buttermilk

Mix dough ingredients together; break off in small pieces. Roll each piece out in round, flat pieces. Place on an oil greased baking sheet. Place another layer on this, greasing with oil each time. Place one more layer on and grease it. You can bake 3 layers like this and they won't stick together.
