ITALIAN GREEN BEANS 
1 (14 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. sugar
Pepper to taste
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. water
2 lb. cooked green beans, drained

In a medium saucepan, bring first 6 ingredients to a gentle boil. put flour in a measuring cup. Gradually add water to the flour to make a smooth paste. Slowly add paste to boiling tomato sauce, stirring constantly. Cook until sauce is thickened. Pour over hot, cooked green beans. (May use fresh, frozen or canned beans.)
