RUTH'S CRACKER JACKS 
1/2 c. pure butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
6 to 8 c. popped corn

Melt butter. Stir in syrup, sugar and bring to a boil. Boil five minutes, remove from heat, and add soda, vanilla. Stir and pour over popped corn. Stir well.

Bake on a cookie sheet at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Stir once or twice. Let cool and break apart.
