FEIGES' SINFULLS 
CHOCOLATE FILLING:

2 tbsp. butter
1 (5 1/3 oz.) can (2/3 c.) evaporated milk
1/4 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

In pan combine butter, chocolate chips, milk, sugar and salt; bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in nuts, let cool.

OATMEAL BASE:

1/2 c. (1/4 lb.) butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar, firm
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. quick cooking oats & little extra

Cream butter; add sugar, eggs, vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Add flour, soda, salt and 1 3/4 cups oats and mix until blended. Press 2/3 of mixture onto buttered pan. Spread chocolate filling. Mix 1/4 cup (plus a little more) oats with oatmeal, mix and crumble on top. Bake in 9 x 9 inch pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool 20 minutes before cutting into squares. Yield: 36 squares.
