DELICIOUS LASAGNA 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
1 tbsp. salad oil
2 bay leaves
1 recipe Savory Meat Sauce (below)
1 lb. cottage cheese
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
6 to 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

Cook noodles according to package directions, adding the oil and bay leaves to the boiling water. Drain.

Oil a 12 x 18 inch baking dish. Starting with noodles, make layers of noodles and 1/3 of Savory Meat Sauce; dot with half the cottage cheese, sprinkle with Parmesan and add a few slices of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Make top layers of noodles and meat sauce. Decorate with strips of Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. 6 servings.

Note: This recipe is even better when prepared a day ahead.

SAVORY MEAT SAUCE:

1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1/2 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. diced celery
1 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard

Brown meat in hot oil, breaking it apart as it browns. Add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until thick. Stir frequently.
