2 c. corn meal
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 small chopped onion
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg

Mix dry ingredients together. Add onion, then buttermilk and finally a beaten egg. Drop by spoonfuls into the pan, in which fish have been fried. Fry to a golden brown and drain.
